Whether you are protecting spectators, containing errant shots, or creating a golf ball protection netting system for property, we deliver the most durable and dependable solution on the market.
How to Choose the Right Golf Netting
Selecting the correct golf netting is crucial for both performance and safety. The process starts with choosing the right mesh size based on the impact distance from the golfer.
Step 1: Choose Your Mesh Size (Based on Impact Distance)
- 1" Mesh | For Distance Barriers (Impacts from 15+ yards away)
This is the standard and recommended mesh size for most driving range netting and golf course netting applications. It is designed to stop golf balls that have traveled a significant distance, making it ideal for perimeter barriers, fairway protection, and property line nets. - 3/4" Mesh | For High-Impact & Close Range (Impacts within 15 yards)
This smaller, stronger mesh is required for any situation involving close-range, full-velocity golf shots. Use 3/4" mesh for golf impact screens, practice cages, indoor training dividers, and protecting windows or patios directly in the line of fire.
Step 2: Select Your Netting Material & Strength
Once you've determined the correct mesh size, choose the twine thickness that best suits the demands of your environment.
- #18 x 1" Twisted-Knotted Nylon (Heavy-Duty Standard)
This is our most recommended material for commercial driving ranges and long-term outdoor golf course netting. It is treated with a resilient tar coating for maximum UV durability.- Expected Lifespan: Retains approximately 50% of its original tensile strength after 10 years of outdoor exposure.
- #12 x 1" Twisted-Knotted Nylon (Lightweight Duty)
A great choice for residential property protection nets, solar panel screens, or other lighter-use golf barrier needs. It is also tar-coated for enhanced UV resistance.- Expected Lifespan: Retains approximately 50% of its original tensile strength after 5 years of outdoor exposure.
- #26 x 1" Knotless Nylon (Color Options)
For installations that require specific aesthetics, this durable knotless netting is a great alternative and is available in Black and White color.
Step 3: Customize Your Net Configuration
Finalize your order by selecting the mesh orientation and finishing options. The netting calculator will guide you through these selections before you add the item to your cart.
- Mesh Pattern: Choose between a Diamond or Square mesh orientation. Watch our video to see the difference.
- Rope Bordering: Add a heavy-duty rope border to the perimeter edges for increased durability and easier installation.
