One strand of #12 twine has a breaking strength of 116 lbs
#12 is the twine gauge (Larger is heavier) which measures 1.7mm diameter
Typical uses for 1-3/4" Mesh netting are: Baseball Batting Cages, Baseball Impact Netting, Softball, Soccer, Hockey Barrier (not impact), Football, Basketball Barrier, Deer Fence, Debris, Aviary, Bird Exclusion and General Multi-Purpose Applications.

Mesh Type: Aesthetically Diamond Mesh looks like a succession of diamonds and Square Mesh looks like a succession of squares.Industrial Fabric is not considered square or diamond it is a sheet of fabric mostly for industrial use.
Square mesh netting will naturally hang straight and to exact dimensions without a border installed.
Diamond mesh has a lot more "stretch", and must be pulled into place for it to install into exact dimensions when it has no border installed, we recommended for installation and ease of use to have a rope-border installed around the perimeter
Net Perimeter Border: Here you have the option to add perimeter borders to the net. Different options are available depending on which netting type you choose.
If you choose “Add Rope Border” we will attach 5/16" Dacron border ropes on all four sides of the net. Industrial fabrics my use smaller rope.
Industrial fabrics and some netting panels offer the option to add Webbing with grommets, webbing material is similar to car seat belts that is folder over the edge of the net and machine sewn, If you choose “Add Webbing Border with Grommets” we will add Webbing on all four sides and install grommets every 12”
Choosing perimeter borders makes the installation easier.

#12 X 1-3/4” nylon netting is prepared to custom net sizing and dimensions using the Online Netting Calculator above. This netting can be prepared with a diamond mesh or square mesh pattern, and has the option of having a 5/16” braided polyester rope bordering installed around the perimeter edge meshes. DuPont 66-728 nylon netting features high tensile strengths, high abrasion resistance, and excellent ease-of-use. This nylon netting is well suited for both outdoor and indoor installations, as it is completely prepared for UV and moisture exposure.

Cut wrong
The net was not cut evenly. After trying to make work, had to give up
RESPONSE:
Thanks for your order Frank! That particular order you made was for a section of diamond mesh netting without a rope bordered edge - which is a difficult type of netting preparation to work with. The mesh was cut correctly, however diamond mesh pattern really needs a border (rope, cord, or similar) in order to hold the meshes proportional and the overall netting to-size. If helpful, see this page of our site for context: https://www.gourock.com/diamond_vs_square-mesh.html If it was ordered as the default square mesh pattern it would pull right out to full size due to the 90 degree corners of the square. But because it was ordered diamond, it would be much better to string or lace a rope or length of twine/cord around the perimeter edges so that you can get it pulled out to proportional sizing. Or, have it made with the sewn-in rope bordering from the factory. Hopefully that adds some helpful insight into your experience on that piece of netting, and always keep in touch with any questions at all! Thanks again!

Bought to protect my chicken flock
I wanted to purchase a product to put over our chicken yard. After watching Gourock’s video explanation of their products I used their web cite to calculate the approximate cost. The price seem fair and I called to place an order. Even though I’d done my research I am new to chickens and I had lots of questions. I recently purchased this net for a backstop on a wiffle ball field and it works great. Although I’m new to the hanging of the diamond netting and struggled with it, it doesn’t look bad even though it’s hung incorrectly. I will have to say the company is amazing, I placed two last minute orders and got them next day, without paying for expedited shipping, just because a note was added to rush the order. The price is amazing, the quality of material is amazing and I’ll be ordering again when I redo the field. Next time I will probably order square netting though, I hear that’s easier to work with.

Great for balcony bird netting
We bought this netting to keep pigeons out of our balcony. The netting was true to size and exactly as described. I chose the square mesh as opposed to the dimond pattern since square holds a more true shape. The netting is exactly as pictured and did not stretch a noticeable amount once stretched tight. Perfect for the job
I bought netting to enclose the top of my catio in order to keep my escape artist of a cat from getting out. It seemed like it might not be tough enough when I first put it up. But is has stretched just enough to cover the space perfectly and despite my cat's frustrated attempts to get past it, it has held up. I am very pleased with the product, especially for the price. 20 x 12ft netting for backyard basketball containment
Net came 1 day after my poles arrived since the net needed to be made.
I bought the net without borders and it seems to be working fine. Of course without the borders doesn't provide that finished look.
Not sure if the borders would provide more support and reduce sag in the net. 12ft poles the sag seems to have dropped about maybe a foot between the poles resulting in the ball having a higher chance to still go over to neighbors yard. I have 3 poles 10ft apart for 20ft of netting.
Quality and look of the net are very good. Time will tell how long it will last.

Nice net - complex edging
The product seems fine, although I had no idea what the edging would be like. To edge the net they weave a thick cord through the net squares one full square back from the edge. Then the cord is tied on to the net every few squares by a much thinner twine. It seems like it will work fine but for my use if I had known precisely what this would look like, I would have not ordered the edging.

Great product, fast shipping and it's keeping our dogs where they belong. We could not find a simple cost effective custom solution for temporary fencing that would create a barrier to our open space while friends brought over their wandering companions.
