One strand of #15 twine has a breaking strength of 144 lbs
#15 is the twine gauge (Larger is heavier) which measures 1.8mm
Typical uses for 4" Mesh netting are: Deer Fence, Soccer Netting, Basketball Barrier Netting, Volleyball Netting, Dodgeball Nets, Agricultural and Garden Netting, and General Multi-Purpose Applications.

Mesh Type: Aesthetically Diamond Mesh looks like a succession of diamonds and Square Mesh looks like a succession of squares.Industrial Fabric is not considered square or diamond it is a sheet of fabric mostly for industrial use.
Square mesh netting will naturally hang straight and to exact dimensions without a border installed.
Diamond mesh has a lot more "stretch", and must be pulled into place for it to install into exact dimensions when it has no border installed, we recommended for installation and ease of use to have a rope-border installed around the perimeter
Net Perimeter Border: Here you have the option to add perimeter borders to the net. Different options are available depending on which netting type you choose.
If you choose “Add Rope Border” we will attach 5/16" Dacron border ropes on all four sides of the net. Industrial fabrics my use smaller rope.
Industrial fabrics and some netting panels offer the option to add Webbing with grommets, webbing material is similar to car seat belts that is folder over the edge of the net and machine sewn, If you choose “Add Webbing Border with Grommets” we will add Webbing on all four sides and install grommets every 12”
Choosing perimeter borders makes the installation easier.

Steel Poles are usually spaced about 10' apart, when using lighter #12 netting or larger 4" mesh poles can be spaced a little further apart.

#15 X 4” nylon netting is prepared to custom net sizing and dimensions using the Online Netting Calculator above. This netting is prepared with a square mesh pattern, and has the option of having a 5/16” braided polyester rope bordering installed around the perimeter edge meshes. DuPont 66-728 nylon netting features high tensile strengths, high abrasion resistance, and excellent ease-of-use. This nylon netting is well suited for both outdoor and indoor installations, as it is completely prepared for UV and moisture exposure.

Exactly what we wanted.
We put up a vinyl fence and needed a net to go from post to post to stop the kids' balls from going over the fence and ruining the neighbor's plants & flowers. So we ordered 24' x 1' 6" Square Mesh netting with a border. It is absolutely perfect. It has stopped a few balls:) I'm glad I found this website. I like to do research and the cost was cheaper than other sites & the quality was what I expected for a nylon netting. 4 years ago turkeys flew into my fenced garden and ate everything except the arugula and tomatoes. The next year I installed this netting over the top. No more turkey problems. It looked a little tired this spring so ordered again. I am still using the old netting in a smaller area. Great product.

Mulch Covering
This worked perfect for holding down my straw mulch over winter planted garlic. The holes are large enough to allow the garlic to grow through but not get bound up by smaller holes. The fabric does take a little work figuring out where the corners are, but I found some yellow plastic ties to mark them for easy install next year.

Excellent for trellis in northern NJ
Purchased for use as a garden trellis in March 2020.
Product arrived quickly and in good condition.
With a helper, I had no problem unwrapping, stretching, and installing the netting for the 25ft long trellis.
During the 6-months since installation, the netting easily supported the weight of climbing vines and fruits of cucumbers, squash, and beans. I see no noticeable deformation.
I plan to leave the netting in place over the winter and use it again next year, and am interested in seeing how many seasons I can get out of the product.

Great Product and Service
I ordered a six foot tall by 60 feet long section of netting and two 3 ft by 15 ft sections as well. This is for our home Volleyball court, that boarders thick brush and trees. This netting has been working perfectly to keep the volleyball on the court and out of the woods. I will definitely purchase from Gourock again if I have any other netting needs!

Excellent product
I purchased several yards of the 4-inch to replace bird netting around the perimeter of my chicken yard. My order came within a few days and was exactly as I had requested. The netting is very strong, and can withstand quite a bit of weather--netting I put up a few years ago is still functioning great despite the heat of the California sun. For my purposes the 4" netting works great for allowing small birds to come and go from the yard while keeping the larger hawks and falcons at bay. (Smaller raptors could still get in if they had a mind to, but the netting seems to be enough of a deterrent to keep them out.) While I used a nylon rope border on the first net I installed, I chose to just staple this most recent order to the wood posts and beams. After winter comes and goes I'll find out if just stapling is enough, or if I'll need to add a rope border. :)

Great Purchase
We needed a net to put atop our is foot chain linked fence to stop soccer balls from going into the road. The net has been great. It doesn't stand out as far as view of the field. Perfect ! Works well!
Bought this for the back yard . Put it behind soccer net hung from a cpl trees. Every time the kids missed the net they would have to chance down the ball. This way when they miss the net the ball hits the "back net" and stays close to the field @ play. Love it! Easy install and saves time from chasing balls around. Kids want to go out and kick the ball more often now and that's worth every penny!

You Get What You Pay For!
The first net purchased did not do the job, but after connecting with the amazing staff at Gourock I found out that it had everything to do with my improper mounting technique. Gourock pointed me in the right direction to ensure that I purchased the proper net and made sure I mounted it in the best way possible.
The first net I bought was cheaper, and I did not protect my investment by purchasing the proper mounting equipment. I got what I paid for.
My second net was perfect. I spent a little more on it, and paid a bit extra for better mounting equipment, but doing so meant getting a net that I can already tell will last a very long time!

#15x4" netting works great as soccer net
My son practices soccer in our backyard and I purchased the 15 pound 4 inch netting which has been an excellent investment keeping the soccer balls out of the neighbor’s yard! I purchased three 12 foot high poles; fairly easy to install. My wife and son helped and we installed everything in a couple hours. I purchased 10 feet high x 30 feet long netting which works perfect with 3 poles (spaced every 10 feet). I used 4 bungee cords on each pole to hold the net in place. The only downside is the bungee cords fail caused by tearing from the netting. My son is twelve and he and his friends have a very strong leg and after a few weeks I noticed that 2 bungee cords failed. I will purchase more however I will wrap the netting around the pole this time so the pole takes the blunt of the force not the ball bungee. Bottom line, this is an excellent product we love it and will purchase from Gourock again!
