An updated edge border option available for custom nets ordered through the Online Custom Netting Calculator
Gourock.com specializes in the supply of custom netting panels and nets that can be produced to your own custom sizing needs. We conveniently offer custom nets that are ordered directly online through our robust Online Custom Netting Calculator. Not only can our customers order nets made to their own particular dimensions – from the mesh sizing and twine thicknesses preferred – but there is also a great selection of perimeter bordering options available as well. When you need a reliable netting border installed, we have options for you.
Generally speaking, Gourock can prepare your netting in varying methods – ranging from basic cut sections of mesh up to nets that are finished-off around the edges with different types of perimeter borders installed. There are many different reasons why different perimeter border selections are made, and they usually revolve around the intended installation technique for the net, customer preference for the type of product they expect to be working with for their project, and also to account for some particular usage needs for the custom netting itself.
There are hundreds of Gourock customers that order bulk cut mesh netting sections on their own, and it is always our pleasure to fulfill these requests and shipments. And then for all other customers that require nets that are more of a finished product (as opposed to bulk material), the perimeter bordering selections that have historically been offered through the Custom Netting Calculators have been Perimeter Rope Borders and Perimeter Webbing/Grommeted Borders. In the last couple weeks we have added another great selection, which is to have the net finished with a Weighted-Rope Bottom Edge. We strive to provide our customers with premium custom netting materials and craftsmanship, as well as offering product solutions for a wide variety of situations and needs. Including the Weighted Bottom Rope selection to our store allows for our customers to efficiently source the best nets for their projects that benefit from a heavier bottom edging. We continuously enhance our netting border options to meet all customer requirements.
Weighted Rope Bottom Edge on Custom Netting Panels
Over the last couple decades of custom netting productions and supply, we have shipped out hundreds of nets that include a weighted-rope bottom edge on them. It has typically been a production offering that was only available through some more personalized sales and service, typically with nets like these requiring a quotation for the more specialized weighted bottom rope feature. However, we have now integrated this preparation selection to be natively available in the Online Netting Calculators – creating a really efficient and convenient sourcing option for all mesh styles that allow for it. There are many unique reasons why different clients prefer a weighted bottom border to their custom netting, with some popular applications being: gymnasium divider nets, golf impact nets, hitting and kicking practice nets, baseball and softball batting cage nets, athletic field house netting, and other similar containment netting installations. Essentially, a weighted bottom border is effective in preventing objects from rolling underneath the netting, and to prevent the netting from raising up off the ground when impacted. For these reasons, many Gourock.com clients often prefer custom netting with a weighted bottom netting border.
