Batting Cage Containment Netting with Golf Barrier Netting Additions
In this first custom netting example we are showing a collection of ball containment nets that were produced for a commercial baseball batting practice location. Our customer needed speciality nets to fit properly within their ball containment backstop frames – which required some specific sizes as well as some unique notch shape features as well. These nets were all constructed from 1-3/4″ square mesh pattern twisted-knotted nylon netting, with rope bordered edges. In addition, this batting cage location is located close to a golf driving range area that was also on site. So to help protect batters from any incoming errant golf balls they also wanted to incorporate a series of golf barrier nets within the ceiling areas of their backstop frames also. For these golf ball protection nets, the best product selection was 3/4″ square mesh twisted-knotted nylon netting with 5/16″ rope bordered perimeter edges. The total athletic netting job included 17 custom net panels, as shown in the reference diagram below.
Basketball Court Barrier Nets to Block Errant Balls and Shots
Ball blocking nets for basketball courts is a very popular type of custom netting supply that is facilitated by Gourock. The use of dependable containment netting is a great solution to effectively manage errant shots and rolling balls during play. Making sure that you have a good handle on keeping basketballs within the playing court area is a key factor in the enjoyment of play, and the efficiency of the court as whole. Barrier netting can ensure that players aren’t consistently chasing down and retrieving balls that roll away from the court, and also enhances safety factors as well. Gourock’s customer had some particular sizing requirements for the nets, as well as some areas that needed some 7′ high notch areas within a couple of the barrier nets as well. These were all constructed from the #36 X 4″ square mesh pattern twisted-knotted nylon netting, with 5/16″ polyester rope bordered perimeter edges.
Athletic Netting for Pickleball Court Ball Containment
A very popular type of need for ball court containment purposes is for pickleball courts. Pickleball court locations typically need nets to contain errant balls within the playing space, and also require netting to be used as court dividers as well. Although pickleballs themselves are quite lightweight and minimally abrasive to the netting materials, most Gourock.com customers that utilize nylon athletic netting for their ball containment needs will opt for a bit of a thicker twine to account for wear-and-tear from other factors. In many cases these other factors of consideration are players consistently running into the mesh, weather and UV exposure for outdoor installations, or a preference for a thicker look and appearance of the netting being used at the court. With that in mind, the most popular netting selections for our pickleball netting customers are the #36 X 1-3/4″ nylon and the #21 X 1-3/4″ nylon.
In this following example of some custom pickleball court netting from the last few weeks we are showing a series of four nets that were needed by our customer. All four netting panels were ordered to be made to some specific sizes to correctly line-up with the support poles around the playing court. In addition, a couple of the containment nets also were requested to incorporate some notch features located in particular regions of the netting, to account for some unique needs they had on-site. These pickleball court athletic nets were all built from the #36 X 1-3/4″ twisted-knotted nylon netting, diamond mesh pattern, with 5/16″ braided polyester rope bordered perimeter edges.
Soccer Containment Netting at Commercial Athletic Training Facility
Sports netting for indoor training facility ball containment is a Gourock.com expertise. In this final recent example of sports netting that Gourock produced and shipped, we show a series of 10 netting panels that were needed at a commercial indoor soccer training location. In this case our customer had some perimeter barrier netting needed to be installed vertically around the playing fields, as well as protective nets needed to cover their ceiling area against errant balls. The vertical surrounding soccer containment nets were all built from the #36 X 4″ knotted nylon, as they are expected to take the majority of the wear and abrasion from impacted balls. The upper ceiling nets were intended to protect lighting and sprinklers from errant soccer balls, but are more of a low abrasion deterrent netting need – so those were constructed from the lighter #15 X 4″ knotted nylon netting. All netting panels in this case were 5/16″ polyester rope bordered around the edges. Some of the more unique features incorporated into the vertical perimeter ball nets included some notched cutout areas to account for some doors, as well as some pass-though slits. All of this athletic netting from Gourock.com works out as a perfect solution for this soccer training establishment for their ball containment and property protection requirements.
