Custom Golf Netting and Golf Cage Nets
Golf cage nets and golf impact nets are great training tools for all type of golfers and installations. In order to properly contain directly driven golf balls from a close-range, a netting solution functions very well and very safely. Typically, golf nets for practice driving are hung or suspended from a framing structure, wires/cables, ceiling rafters, hooks, or any dependable and stable location that can hold netting within/under it. The golf impact netting that we supply at Gourock.com is a 3/4″ mesh size net, made from DuPont® type 66-728 twisted-knotted nylon. This is a 100% Made in USA netting, and the final preparations and fabrications of custom netting designs is All American as well. There are a couple of twine thicknesses available in the golf impact mesh, which are #15 (1.8mm) and #21 (2.0mm). The selection to go with if the aim is direct drives and shots is the thicker #21 twine thickness. The other option of #15 twine can block a directly impacted/driven golf ball, but is a thinner twine that is typically used for golf ball containment netting around the hitting space.
Most commercial and higher-traffic/abrasion customers will go for all of their golf impact netting as well as the golf containment netting being made from the #21 X 3/4″ knotted nylon. High-abrasion and higher-traffic golf hitting areas benefit from having the thicker netting throughout the entire driving and training area, due to the increased amount of ceiling/side-wall impacts (as compared to a private/residential installation). Such is the case with a recent custom golf cage netting and golf impact net product that we shipped out to a professional training facility.
This custom golf net features a unique sizing, shape, and design features that all are aiming to work specifically for their particular installation and framing area. The overall finished products all are built from the #21 (2.0mm) X 3/4″ knotted nylon netting, with all perimeter edge meshes having a sewn-in 5/16″ braided polyester rope border installed. This custom golf cage net features customized side wall and ceiling netting characteristics, extra-wide sizing, a secondary layer of impact netting to reinforce the back panel, and then a series of smaller target nets to add extra reinforcement to the central areas of highest wear.
