To help demonstrate some of these custom tapered sport netting examples, here are 4 instances of very unique nets that were all fabricated to our customer’s specifications – all incorporating tapered and angled finished shapes. Each example in this particular list reflects nets used to block or contain objects for a sporting or athletic necessity. We corresponded personally with each customer, and developed CAD images and quotations for their specific nets – based on their specific sizing needs. EXAMPLE 1:
Intended Netting Usage: Residential location, golf barrier netting to protect the side of a house from errant shots/drives from a nearby golf course fairway.
Netting Type: #12 X 1″ twisted-knotted nylon, with 5/16″ braided-polyester rope bordered edges.
Special Considerations: The tapers and angles on this netting production were designed to correlate with the dimensions and shape of their gable, roofline, and house sizing. This customer was primarily interested in protecting their windows from be struck by golf balls – and they wanted to mount/suspend the netting from their gable. The dimensions shown in the production drawing demonstrate the slopes and sizes that are completely unique for this customer’s netting solution needs.
EXAMPLE 2:
Intended Netting Usage: Residential location, golf barrier netting to protect windows from errant shots/drives from a nearby golf course fairway.
Netting Type: #18 X 1″ twisted-knotted nylon, with 5/16″ braided-polyester rope bordered edges.
Special Considerations: The tapers and angles on this netting production were designed to correlate with the dimensions and shape of the bottom part of their raised deck. They had an open space under the deck that had errant golf balls flying into, putting the basement windows in jeopardy of damage. The dimensions shown in the production drawing demonstrate the slopes and sizes that are completely unique for this customer’s netting solution needs.
EXAMPLE 3:
Intended Netting Usage: Baseball stadium barrier netting and safety nets, intended to cover an open area of the spectator/bleacher space that was still subjected to foul balls.
Netting Type: #36 X 1-3/4″ twisted-knotted nylon, with 5/16″ braided-polyester rope bordered edges.
Special Considerations: There were two spectator areas of the stadium that were wide-open to foul ball impacts, which were creating unnecessary safety risks. Each zone incorporated safety railing and structural elements that needed to be accounted for in order for the nylon netting to fit the space correctly. The netting was to be directly connected/laced to the existing rails, so in order to achieve a professional fit the dimensions shown in the production drawing demonstrate the slopes and sizes that are completely unique for this customer’s netting solution needs.
EXAMPLE 4:
Intended Netting Usage: Commercial sport/gaming use. This was a commercial vendor that offers a variety of basketball shooting games at events, and they required netting to contain shots within the game area.
Netting Type: #21 X 1-3/4″ twisted-knotted nylon, with 5/16″ braided-polyester rope bordered edges.
Special Considerations: These nets were built to accommodate a commercial basketball shooting/return game offered by our customer. The surrounding area of each game required netting to contain the basketballs within the confines of the shooting space as the game was underway. They offered 4 different sizes of their game, so there were 4 different tapered netting sizes required to professionally fit the sides of each game.
